Calatrava

The Milwaukee Art Museum is dominated by the Quadracci Pavilion (2001) created by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.  It's adjacent to the War Memorial Center (1957) designed by Eero Saarinen which houses a large portion of the Museum's 25,000 works.  I shot this during a snow storm using the overcast sky as a backdrop to the Museum's compelling internal and external shapes.

Located in central Wisconsin, the Horicon Marsh is the largest freshwater cattail marsh in the world, and home to tens of thousands of migrating birds.
